File your confirmation statement — from £59
Miss it and Companies House can strike your company off the register.
We'll handle it for you — quickly, correctly, and without the stress.
Most contractors don't know their deadline until it's almost too late
Your confirmation statement is due every year within 14 days of your review period end date — usually your incorporation anniversary. Companies House sends a reminder email, but it goes to your registered office address. If that's a forwarding address you rarely check, it's easy to miss.
Miss the deadline and you get chased. Keep missing it and Companies House initiates strike-off proceedings. A struck-off company costs £468 in restoration fees — plus solicitor costs. Directors can also be disqualified for persistent failure to file.
It is one of the simplest filings a limited company makes. It should never become a problem.
What we do for £59
Review your current Companies House record
Check directors, shareholders, registered address, and SIC code are correct
Flag anything that needs updating before we file
File your confirmation statement online
Send you confirmation once filed
One-off payment — no subscription, no commitment
£59 covers a standard confirmation statement with no structural changes. If your company has had director changes, share transfers, or address changes we'll confirm the additional time required before proceeding.
Or get it free — included with Autobooks
If you're running a one-man limited company, the confirmation statement is one of seven annual obligations you need to stay on top of. Autobooks handles all of them — including your confirmation statement — as part of your monthly service.
| One-off filing | Autobooks £89+VAT/month | |
|---|---|---|
| Confirmation statement | ✓ £59 | ✓ Included free |
| Monthly bookkeeping | ✗ | ✓ |
| Quarterly VAT returns | ✗ | ✓ |
| Director payroll | ✗ | ✓ |
| Self-Assessment | ✗ | ✓ |
| Year-end accounts | ✗ | ✓ |
| Corporation Tax return | ✗ | ✓ |
| Minimum commitment | None | 3 months |
Most contractors billing £300/day or more cover the Autobooks monthly fee in less than half a day's work. The confirmation statement alone is not the point — it's everything else you won't have to think about.
One thing to know about signing up
We ask for a minimum 3-month commitment when you sign up to Autobooks. That's it. After 3 months you can leave any time with one month's notice. We think once you're set up and running, you won't want to — but we'd rather be upfront about it than bury it in terms and conditions.
Built especially for contractors
Autobooks is not a general accountancy practice. We work exclusively with one-man limited company contractors and freelancers. That means we know your world — IR35, salary and dividend strategy, contractor expenses, and exactly what Companies House expects from your filing. We don't work with landlords, retailers, or businesses with employees. That focus is how we keep the quality high and the price low.
Chris has 30 years' experience as a contractor himself before founding Autobooks. He is AATQB qualified. When you work with Autobooks, you work with someone who has been exactly where you are.
